Is there a statement of faith associated with this site?

Not really (though the entire website is a statement of faith), however, if you wish to read my personal “manifesto of belief,” you can at www.ericludy.com.  Whereas, we may not agree on every little nuance of Scriptural interpretation, for the most part, those of us contributing content on this site share a very common bond on the centrality of the Cross, the preeminence of Christ, the sufficiency of His Word in all matters, and the desperate need for the Church to be awakened and reformed.

How do you pick the contributors to the blog?

They have each been personally invited to contribute.  When you stand for the straightness of Truth in a world where “crooked” is preferred, you quickly discern your allies.  The contributors in this blog are my allies.  And I am always looking to increase the number of those that fall under that banner.  So, if you know someone that you think might be in sync with what we are doing here and can whip up a good blog, then please feel free to email Nathan@braveheartedgospel.com with the pertinent information, and we’d love to at least consider giving them a “guest” blog entry.

Why can’t I leave comments anymore?

We started out the site with a comments module, but we quickly ran into a few technical snags which ended up causing more difficulties than blessings to the site.  After thinking it over, we feel that, though comments are a great way to connect a vast audience, that they also sometimes present the wrong people with a worldwide stage.  It was a tough decision, but for now we have decided that this site is going to be a “comments free” zone.   However, we still would really appreciate your feedback and we would also like to field your questions.  In fact, if send us enough questions we just might feel obligated to start a Q&A section on the site. Comments and questions can be sent to Nathan at Nathan@braveheartedgospel.com

Are you looking for good quotes?

Oh, yes!  If you have good bravehearted quotes from the heroes of yesteryear, please email them to Nathan@braveheartedgospel.com.  I have a very large collection already, but if the quote you send over really stands out, then I’ll definitely use it.

How could I get this message in my church?

Most of the contributors on this website, myself included, speak around the country and the world.  Usually at the bottom of each of the contributor’s blog entry you can either find  information regarding booking them to come speak or general information regarding how you might contact their ministry.  (If you are interested in finding out about booking me to speak, please drop me a note at booking@ericludy.com.) Unfortunately we don’t have an official Bravehearted touring group.  If this is something that would interest you, then keep bugging Nathan with emails (Nathan@braveheartedgospel.com) and maybe the squeaky wheel will get some oil.  Other than having someone come speak, of course, the book, The Bravehearted Gospel is designed to assist you in bringing these ideas into your world. If you’d like to order this book in bulk for your church, please contact Nathan about a ministry discount.

Is there anything I can be a part of?

That’s a great question.  We do have a lot of things in the works, but not a lot of things yet at the matured point where we can plug a lot of people in.  God willing, though, that is precisely where we are headed.  Our dream is to help create “spiritual employment” opportunities for eager bravehearted believers.

You can always feel free to check out my events page at www.ericludy.com.  Usually I have a discipleship conference available that you could sign up for to take this message deeper in your life.  But, please stay tuned, because we are working on multiple orphan projects that may very well provide you with some great opportunities to get down and Gospel-dirty in the trenches.

Do you have any upcoming events?

As already mentioned, please feel free to check out my events page at www.ericludy.com.  I don’t always keep my national travel schedule up there, but I do keep my conference schedule there.  If you would like to know where I will be around the country, please email Nathan (nathan@braveheartedgospel.com).

Can I email you personally, Eric?

That’s a tricky one for me to answer.  Right now (as I write this sentence) I am 350 emails behind in my inbox.  To be honest, I’m struggling with keeping up.  I love to correspond personally, but this season of my life, with four kids (as of June 2009) four years old and under, my life is quite full.  Please, feel free to email me a personal note to eric@braveheartedgospel.com, but just know that the email will be forwarded to my assistant, Nathan, and I very likely will not be able to respond personally, though I will definitely still read your email.  Thanks for your understanding.

By the way, Eric, is that a picture of you in the blog header?

Uh, no.  Albeit, both Hudson and Harper (my two oldest children) think its me, so obviously, it appears that we picked a photo that was a little too reminiscent of the old “yours truly.”  We liked the photo because it captured that thoughtful yet comedic mixture, the look I often have on my face as I write my blog entries.

We are hoping, in the future, to actually exchange out that photo for photos of the actual blog contributors.  We’ll see.  But for now, we have a lot of people that think that I’ve begun to look ever so subtly more handsome in my old age.

Can I take the materials from your website and use them elsewhere?

The reason we are posting this stuff is so that you can use it.  So, please feel free to utilize the materials found herein for any non-retail, ministry purpose.  The two things we would ask is that the use be in accordance with the spirit and general decorum of this site and that reference to either the individual contributor or the braveheartedgospel website be cited when appropriate.
